Magisteriate of Science

February 26, 2013 by Amie M

The end of last week was a blur. Ma and Pa came out Wednesday night, and we chilled Thursday morning until we had to head to campus for my Convocation.

Yes, I finally have the paper that goes along with my Masters.

Crossing the stage to be hooded, and shaking hands with the University’s Chancellor was easy compared to defending, twice, and writing the darn thing. It was a great day to reflect on the three years of my masters, the fantastic friendships I’ve made, how I’ve grown and pushed myself to my limits. I’m proud of that piece of paper, and those extra initials behind my name. I’m proud that I came through [relatively] unscathed.

Convocation was great, because I was able to share in it with my really good friend Sarah. We were only one person away during the ceremony, but managed to change the order of seating on our way back into the theatre. Sneaky.

We also tried really hard to do a jumping shot like all our friends who convocated before us.

It took some tries, but we finally got it!
